Murder of a Midnight Marriage
It’s the wedding of the century as Veronica Pentha, spokesmodel for the local soda pop company Forest Mist, plans to marry her beloved Memphis Templeton, the son of the owner for radio station WGRE. It’s expected to be a happy affair—but those working behind the scenes for the big event would say otherwise as the wedding planner tries to rule with an iron fist, family members are already objecting to the union, and the bride plans to work for a different soda company following her vows.
Memphis and Veronica plan to have a wedding at midnight in the tradition of other cultures, but it’s that cover of darkness that gives a sinister killer the opportunity to strike. The pair are found dead in a position similar to another infamous couple in history, leading to the belief that there’s another reason to kill them.
Bookstore owner Zachary Gagewood isn’t sure which motive fits the crime, but he’s determined to find out, with friends and foes making the suspect list. As the latest murders threaten to unravel the village of Gresham, Zachary has to find someone with a penchant for history and using it to kill.
